Harvested this gesture sketch from the side of Shane's to-do-list for an upcoming meeting. We like to think of it as a headhunter walking the path, shining light upon the world!
Part of an ongoing sleeve that the client wanted to be really striking & engaging, the ever watchful eye serves as a reminder to always be conscious of his actions, aware of how he is treating others, the type of choices he's making and how he's spending his free time. Great guy!
Painted by Shane at a Meow Wolf event last year. Inspired by sacred geometry, the divine feminine and the type drum/bass music they jam to up in Santa Fe!
This piece was created for a gentleman who wanted the tattoo as a visual reminder of someone in his life that had made an incredible impact on him by inspiring him to live as his better self through strength and patience. She possessed the spirit of a lioness!
Lidless and vigilant your compass rests, a beacon of feeling within the heart of your chest, infinite value and color the mind collects and projects, an endless possibility it most greedily protects. But to be fully engaged and at peace in the moment, the giver wields both tools to become the atonement. Listen to the compass within your heart, lest your mind stretch beyond limit and tear us apart.
A few months ago Shane held a contest where people submitted ideas to win a free tattoo. The deal was, the idea that inspired him the most would be chosen. The winner was a lovely lady named Ruby!
She wanted a quill pen made from a Phoenix feather that looks like it it is on fire with two meaningful words which serve as her reminder that when she gets knocked down by life's obstacles, to always remember that the direction forward starts by her will to Rise Up.
We love it when clients go big for their first tattoos! This gentleman came to Shane wanting to pay homage to the Egyptian god Horus!
This lovely piece actually wraps around the client's back and onto her thigh. She came to Shane wanting something beautiful, fluid, light and ornamental, like a piece of body jewelry!
This triad of carnivorous plants was inspired by the client's love of old botany sketches!
We call this painting the Aging Buddha. Made from an acrylic paint infused with copper and painted on a wood canvas, the Buddha will continue to change over time thanks to the oxidizing process!
This project was an enhancement to an existing tattoo. Our client Jasper wanted to breathe some new life into the piece. The art represents the lone wolf taking charge over his mind and finding the path into the future!
